Responsibilities will shift through the phases of the Global SAP project, but the following outlines the primary cross-phase responsibilities: data definition and data management strategy, data governance processes, conversion/interface/report designs for data management, team and work effort management (people, budget and schedule), management of data team participation in process configuration and testing, and assistance with business preparation and deployment of the configured solution. - Reports to the VP of Global Process Management and interacts daily with the IM Global Management Team
- Assists the Global Process Owners and Regional Process Owners in the identification and definition of the data requirements, standards, and structures for the SAP application portfolio
- Works with the technical architects and GPOs/RPOs to fully understand and document the data conversion requirements, and to design the conversion procedures and applications
- Drives the model and design of the SAP data structures, data storage, and data integration
- Assists in determining the cross-application data standards, data distribution standards, and availability strategies with the data architects, integration architects, and designers
- Identifies and communicates any cross-process or cross-application issues that may affect other areas of the project
- Reviews the process owners database deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and defined standards
- Oversees the creation of test data with the GPOs/RPOs for the development and test teams to complete process, conversion, interface, and report testing
- Responsible for ongoing data quality initiatives for the organization and is directly responsible for continuous data management
