| Responsibilities |
Under the supervision of the Director of Financial Systems, this position has direct responsibility to manage, maintain and support the Financial Systems computer applications and systems. This includes General Accounting, Materials Management, Central Supply, Accounts Payable, Time and Attendance and Payroll. The customer base is system-wide with the primary user base in general accounting and materials management. The major applications managed and supported include Lawson (General Accounting, General Ledger, Supply Distribution, Purchase Orders, Accounts Payable) and the WPS (payroll) systems. This position provides Project Management for system projects including Lawson upgrades, conversions, interfaces and payroll systems and uses project life cycle processes to meet the desired objectives of the Financial Systems. The person in this position actively initiates contacts and meetings with clients to identify and document system requriements that best support and enhance their daily operations. The position manages and coordinates system enhancements and upgrades to proprietary and vendor systems with clients, MCCS and vendors. The person in this position meets with MCCS to plan releases, review procedures and deliverables. Other duties include:
