The Manager, Technology Services is primarily concerned with the development, implementation, operation, monitoring, and evaluation of the technology program for the production. This individual provides leadership in identifying hardware and software purchases, ensuring that they are consistent with technology plan and Company guidelines. The employee coordinates, and may deliver, staff development on technology competencies needed for maintaining and supporting all internal systems. The employee reports to the VP, IT Operations and is dedicated to the production. The employee takes daily direction from the Executive in Charge of the production and works collaboratively with the production staff and Corporate IT departments to use technology and include technology applications as an integral part of the total technology plan for the productions. Essential Job Functions - Serve as IT Project manager for the relocation of a major media production to a new facility.
- Oversees on-going IT support and maintenance for production including all broadcast staff, all servers, on-air daily production, the Digital Assets Manager (DAM) system, and all related server interfaces on behalf of the production.
- Provides leadership for short- and long-range planning for all technology initiatives: vision, goals, objectives/strategies/activities, infrastructure, evaluation and budgeting.
- Responsible for selection of all computer related hardware and software needs for the production.
- Serve as a clearinghouse of information on trends, research, applications, and effective practices related to the use of technology (within the production).
- Technical consultant to principles on all matters as requested.
- Assist in implementation and auditing of controls as required for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
